Today it was great to attend the DFI. I learnt lots of new tips and tricks to manage my workflow better. A great tip for organising my Google Drive was to number the folders so the one I use most often will appear at the top.
Remove.bg is a tool that I was introduced to today. This allows the user to remove the background from images. This will be so beneficial to my learners. They will now be able to create their own PNG images.
Also there were some wonderful tips for managing learners navigating the google environment. The majority of my students are ok with this, but I have come away with new ideas on how to improve my practice in this area.
I have never really used Google Docs when creating posters. I usually use Google Drawings. Today I learnt some helpful tips on how to create using Docs. Below is a poster I created about some new tips, tricks and tools I learnt about today.
Here is an image that I created using both Google Drawings and Remove.bg.

Hey Claire,
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how something so simple (like numbering folders) can make a huge difference- and also be something that never crosses your mind! I too found remove.bg a helpful tool, I can imagine using it to make photo books and summaries outside of work :).
Your DLO looks great, how did you manage to make only some sections of the line show up in white, and the rest blend in?
Awesome work!
Jayne
Hi Jayne,
DeleteThanks for the comment. I highlighted the section of the table border then changed that to the same colour of the background.
Claire
Kia ora Claire,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! If only we had been on the beautiful beach you have put us on! I look forward to reading more about what you take away from each session!
